When did you get started and what inspired you to become a cartoonist?

“Since I was child, I was enthusiastic about drawings and cartoons. Therefore, I volunteered for the local school’s newspaper and, subsequently, studied Graphic Design with a major in Caricatures.”

Why did you choose to support Mine Mark?

“Entertaining characters and stories are essential to engage children. This vital instrument must be utilized to educate children on risks posed by landmines. I am happy to assist Mine Mark with their important mission.”

What is the process of creating a cartoon character?

“My clients’ requirements are my inspiration. I am not just creating comic figures out of the blue. Thus, I created the superheroes for Mine Mark on specific requirements: How can heroes that warn children from landmines look like? To create suitable heroes, I first drew figures as I imagined them, but also studied literature and similar projects. After I made some sketches, I drew detailed characters and stories on my working station.”

What do you want to achieve with your illustrations and what are your professional plans?

“Since I am regularly drawing cartoons for an established newspaper for 3 years now, I learned to value the aspect of shaping public opinions. I want to become more engaged in that area. Furthermore, I want to promote illustrations over photography since real-life pictures are ubiquitous on social media and our daily lives.”
